Working 8 hours a day, always waking up at the same time and always ending at the same time is a claustrophobic lifestyle, to which one can add stress caused by commuting. There is an alternative, and it’s gradually spreading: working from home.

The last McDonald’s hamburger in Iceland is over 10 years old – and still intact.

The last hamburger with fries sold by a McDonald’s in Iceland has become famous all over the world as it has been preserved and displayed in a glass case at the Bus Hostel in Reykjavik. The “meal” was preserved by a McDonald’s fan who decided to buy and keep his favorite food as a souvenir, given that the fast food chain would close its 3 stores in 2009.

Melanie Knecht and Trevor Hahn first met during a boxing lesson. Then again during a climbing lesson.

The two have since forged a special friendship. Melanie was born with spina bifida and uses a wheelchair, while Trevor lost his sight due to glaucoma back in 2014.
The two adventurers from Fort Collins, Colorado share a great passion for the outdoor life, trekking and other sports activities. (more…)

Meet Pat Smith, the grandmother who cleaned 52 beaches in a year

It’s never too late to do our part. At any age and at any time in life, there is always time to start doing good. Pat Smith is a 70-year-old english lady who in late 2017 decided to prove this very point by setting herself an important goal:  every week she would go out and clean up a beach.

The 91 year old Russian grandmother who travels the world alone with her backpack

Her name is Yelena, and she travels the world alone. She does it armed with a backpack or a small suitcase, a stick, a scarf on her head and with a great desire to learn new things. This shows that age is only a number and when  dreams knock on your door it is possible to make them come true. (more…)
