Nowadays, there are many spiritual and new age schools that promise to help us access the “invisible”, the Spiritual World, or as Sri Aurobindo calls it in the following excerpt, the “subliminal”. But some aspects are often ignored – and if we don’t understand them we may carelessly find ourselves carrying out practices which may do us more harm than good. World’s Largest Redwood Forest is Now Protected Thanks To Crowdfunding

Alder Creek, the world’s largest giant sequoia forest has finally become a protected area thanks to crowdfunding. An environmental group has managed to conclude a $ 15.65 million agreement to purchase the ancient and endangered forest thanks to donations from around the world.

Indian Sarsaparilla Found to be Active against Cancer

A plant used for centuries in traditional medicine in Asia and South America could prove to be a valuable ally in the fight against cancer. In an article published in the scientific journal Oncotarget, a group of researchers has shown how the sarsaparilla extract (Hemidesmus indicus) is able to kill cancer cells while activating the defense mechanisms of the immune system: a particular anti-tumor ability known as “immunogenic cell death” which had never been observed before in a product of natural origin.

Every year, this 1,400-year-old Ginkgo tree covers a Buddhist temple in gold

In autumn, the gingko tree sheds its golden leaves in preparation for winter and gifts us with a magical, golden landscape. A great example of this wonderful sight has been reoccurring every year (for 1,400 years!) at the Gu Guanyin Buddhist Temple in the Zhongnan Mountains region of China.
